V A L ’ S P A L S L O G O

I was approached by Valerie the owner of Val’s Pals in 2021 to design a logo for her pet walking, training, and sitting business. Valerie had a wonderful story of losing her corporate job due to covid-19 then turning her love for animals to a successful pet business. When she approached me she was in the process of moving her business off the pet walking apps to her own website and booking platform.

Valerie wanted the logo to be based on her first client, a border collie named Salmon. It was important for her that the branding felt playful, colorful, and friendly. We decided that her. branding wouldn’t use any black or grey and instead tones of purple (her favorite color) paired with an occasional lime green to tie into her Seattle roots.

After chatting with Valerie it was decided she wanted a more “bubbly/cartoonish” typeface.
