THE WORKSHOP

Below is a collection I designed inspired by workwear and artisan sensibility. Clothing that could take you grabbing coffee in the city to an afternoon spent at the pottery studio. You’ll find organic materials, large pockets, natural colors, and room for one to feel comfortable creating in.

I had the opportunity to fit one of my garments virtually in the 3D software, Brozwear and Optitex to reduce sample making. I choose my jumpsuit assuming this garment would be the hardest to fit. First, I started off making the pattern pieces based off my models measurements.

Once the pattern pieces were finished I brought the pattern pieces into Optitex and was able to make tweaks as needed.

Then, when the digital pattern pieces were finished I brought them into the Brozwear software, V-Stitcher. I was able to scan my chosen fabric into the software to emulate the physics as well so that the garment would drape more accurately on the figure. From there the software allowed me to virtually stitch up the jumpsuit and make edits to the pattern pieces as needed.
